Trust, Security & Privacy

Your privacy is the heart of CompanionCall. This page explains the controls we use to protect your identity and personal information. It describes our own practices and is not an independent certification.

Your number stays private

Calls are connected through a secure bridge. Our system calls you and the companion separately and connects the two legs — your real phone number is never shown to the companion, and theirs is never shown to you.

Phone verification

We verify your phone number with a one-time 6-digit code before your first call. Codes are short-lived, rate-limited, and stored only as a hash — never in plain text.

Access controls

Every account can only access its own data. Database access is protected with row-level security so members cannot read or modify other people's profiles, call history, or verification records. Sensitive call details (recordings and telephony identifiers) can only be written by our secure server, not by client apps.

Data we store

We store your name, email, phone number, verification status, favourites, and a record of your calls (such as time, duration, and any rating or feedback you choose to leave). We do not sell your personal data.
